MICHAEL FEKADE GIZAW
Managing Partner for Africa

Michael F. Gizaw is the Managing Partner for Africa of New Frontier Capital Partners, LLC, a US based private equity firm with offices in Charlotte, NC, Washington, DC and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The firm develops and manages investment funds targeting growth opportunities in East and Southern Africa. Since 2002, Mr. Gizaw has been engaged in researching investment opportunities in East and Southern Africa and has subsequently invested in the construction and agribusiness sectors in Ethiopia. As a result of his active engagement in investment activities in Africa, Mr. Gizaw was invited by the US Government to participate as a private sector representative on high level US Trade and Investment Missions to Southern Africa and Madagascar.

Mr. Gizaw until recently served as President of Continental Fuels, Inc., a Massachusetts based supplier and marketer of energy products which he founded in 1992. Continental Fuels is a contract supplier of various energy products to both the public and private sectors in the northeastern United States. The company's clients include the U.S. Government, the Canadian Navy, the Indian Navy, AMTRAK, General Dynamics, Eastman Kodak, various state agencies, and regional airports.

Moreover, Mr. Gizaw is a commercial real estate investor in the Washington metropolitan area and is the principal partner and member of the Board of Directors of three companies engaged in the real estate business in the state of Maryland.

Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Mr. Gizaw worked for the Energy Division of Cargill, Inc., as a Crude Oil and Petroleum Products Trader covering the physical global crude oil markets, utilizing advanced financial risk management tools in the US and European futures and options markets.

Mr. Gizaw is a graduate of the University of San Francisco, with a degree in International Relations and the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Arizona, where he earned an MBA with concentrations in International Trade and Commodities Trading.
